Survey
The
Project has completed a detailed school survey by using
the Master trainers of the Project to evaluate the existing
infrastructure in schools during October-November 2007.
The project has the complete data base of the computer and
other infrastructure available in schools. Even the specifications
and no. of computers to be upgraded and repaired were collected
via this mechanism.
This data was used to identify the actual infrastructure
availability in schools. Such data of schools was forwarded
to all MLA, MP, LSGs in their respective constituencies,
so that the funds available under them cam be utilized more
fruitfully among the schools which actually need the assistance.

data was also used to find the number of computers that
are to be repaired/upgraded. A strategy for buyback of non
working systems along with up gradation of existing computers
were formulated using this data

Plan workshops:
A
school planning workshops was held in every revenue districts
to avail the details for further infrastructure requirements
in schools, the participants of which include principals
and School IT coordinators from all schools. This school
plan is the backbone of the current supply of computer and
accessories being undertaken by IT@School Project
